Holding Company with a 50% stake

HAESOLE Co. Ltd. is a holding company with a 50% stake
in Stone Global Co. Ltd., which signed a licensing deal with CNN to introduce CNN Apparel,
an outdoor clothing brand, in Korea.
Stone Global Co. Ltd. obtained a license from the cooperation of CNN International Commercial (CNNIC), the division which is responsible for the business operations of CNN properties outside of the United States. CNN Apparel made its debut in the Korean market starting with the 2021 F/W season with pragmatic and comfortable outdoor clothing targeting people born in the early 1980s to early 2000s. CNN Apparel is also looking forward to expanding its business to overseas markets including Japan and China.

Licensed fashion brands have been popular in the Korean apparel market,
and the trend is expected to continue – ex. Kodak, and Discovery and National Geographic.
Signing licensing deals, local firms are given the rights to manufacture and sell clothes with trademarks of well-known brands.
Using a brand's trademark is the main idea, but the licensees do more than just stick a popular logo on a T-shirt. CNN Apparel also channels the inspiration from CNN's brand identity on to its products.
